Golden child turned red.

Safe to say that me killing one of the faceless fuck's golden children ruffled a few feathers.
Does he actually care about his abominations (I know, I know. This is the pot calling the kettle black considering I'm an unholy child experiment myself) or is it an irritation at losing a powerful asset?

After what I did with my last encounter,my death seems to be a top priority to some people.
A couple seekers along with half a dozen grunt proxies showed up at my doorstep today.
I have to say im a little bit flattered at the attempt. Although the attempt was in vain. I mean, do they even realize I'm immortal yet?
Normal weapons are about as effective as a wooden toothpick to mine diamonds.

In the midst of the fight, I spotted ole faceless in the distance watching the spectacle.
Hard to tell when you have no face, but I'm almost certain he was angry at their defeat.
It puzzles me as to why he didn't just handle me himself as it was important enough for him to even be there.

  1. Seekers are still a thing? What a joke and here I thought the old ways were slowly dying, what with the major proxy organizations, organizing a clean sweep of their own people and trying to work on a more subtle level than before.

But I guess old traditions die slowly.

    1. To be honest I always thought they were a myth. But I'd say im doing a good job of killing off the rest and finally ending the old traditions for good.
After all, my little runner friend won't be safe until they are all gone for good.

  2. How exactly does your immortality work, by the way? I've been trying to figure out how each person's works.

    1. Well I'd be more than happy to answer any specific questions you have, as long as you aren't trying to figure out how to take me out or anything.

    2. I don't do hits, so no worries, as long as you don't give me a reason, I won't try to kill you.

I'm just curious if yours is the type where you can't get hurt. Say someone were to run up to you and attempt to stab you in the heart, what would happen?

For me, I'd "die" but wake up later with no injuries. Also, do you age? Mine seems to have stopped or is going at an exceptionally slow rate.

    3. Well I can get hurt. If somebody stabs me in the heart (and people have) it would hurt like a son of a bitch and slightly slow me down.

As far as killing me goes, any damage just heals back up. The worse the damage, the slower the recovery. But it seems to me, that as long as there's any of me left I'll eventually come back.

I'm honestly not sure about the aging. I haven't really noticed any changes since about 16, but I'm currently unsure if it's slower or just not at all. Only time will tell.

    4. So, would you fall into a state of being unconscious? Would you have a pulse? For me, no pulse until my body "resets".

      16? Damn, that's a long time.

Sorry if these are too many questions, by the way.

    5. It takes a massive amount of damage to make me unconscious (my head destroyed, body burned or eviscerated. Things like that), and im not sure if I've had a pulse or not once this happens since I'm unaware of my surroundings. But for most wounds, I stay awake and kicking.

All I know is once I wake most if not all of the damage is healed. Once again, it just depends on the wounds.

    6. Well, that's pretty similar. Just minus the bit about massive amounts of damage. That must haev taken a while to get used to.

I've woken up in a morgue before, so I'm guessing I have no pulse duirng it.

    7. I'm basically you with a higher pain tolerance, and quicker regeneration.

But then again, you got your immortality from a similar source did you not?

    8. I suppose I did, yeah. Makes sense it's pretty similar.

    9. And it didn't really take much to get used to, as I've been like this since I was little.

I remember a time where I was being trained very early on, and got an arm hacked off. So I just assumed everyone grew back their limbs and the like.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that normal humans definitely don't grow back their heads or limbs when I sliced them off. In most cases, it's just alot of screaming and twitching.

    10. That is true, I was thrown into it at a really late age in comparison.
